Alina Emily Rose

Sadly, on October 3, 2020, Alina Emily Rose passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Adam (Fasai), brother, Edward (Blanca), sister, Irena (Peter), honorary sister, Irene (Steve), niece, Amanda, honorary step-son Adrian; predeceased by her brother, Richard, and parents Frank and Czeslawa Misterowicz.

Alina was brave, gracious, and independent during the course of her illness, only accepting assistance toward the end. She always put the people she loved first, encouraging, helping, and reminding us that happiness was the most important thing in life. Her best memories included raising her son, going to art school following a career as a nuclear medicine technologist, working in her beautiful gardens, and visiting Cuba's warm turquoise waters.

The world is a sadder place without Alina, but we are comforted by her kindness, generosity and compassion, which will remain indelibly etched in our hearts.  Alina was a deeply private person and wished to be cremated, her ashes scattered in water to travel the world. To honour her last request, her small circle of family and friends will celebrate her life next summer. It is fitting that we remember her in the warmth of the season she loved so well.
