Cheryl Anne Leonard

October 14, 1963 — August 14, 2023

Etobicoke

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Cheryl Anne Leonard on August 14th, 2023, at the age of 59.

Cheryl was born in Orillia, Ontario on October 14th, 1963 to Brenda Johnstone (Vivian) and Walter Vivan (both deceased).

She was born with a caring soul that she wholeheartedly shared, a deep love of the arts and a steadfast loyalty to her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Armand Leonard, her sister Marcia Curtis, and her nephew Brody Curtis, along with aunts, uncles, many cousins, as well as the extended Leonard family.

Cheryl was a devoted educator at School by the Water and as a Youth Minister at Kingsway Lambton, both in Toronto.  Her devotion to her students was an inspiration, never refusing to give up on them no matter the struggle and continuing those relationships far beyond the school year.

On behalf of the family we would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Bickle Centre for their outstanding care of our wife, sister, aunt and friend.

A service will be held on October 15th, 2023 at 2pm at Kingsway Lambton United Church (85 The Kingsway, Etobicoke, ON).

An outdoor Celebration of Life will follow after the service (details to follow).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation , Diabetes Canada or the War Amps .
