Dorothy Anne Scallon

With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and good friend Dorothy Scallon on January 15th, 2023 at 83 years old with her loving daughter Kathy & grandson Anthony by her side after a battle with an aggressive and advanced form of liver cancer.

Dorothy was an avid reader and incredible at Jeopardy, where her “plethora of useless information” finally came in handy!

Dorothy was always supported by the whole Scallon clan, especially her sister-in-law Cathy Mulrine and her girls, their spouses and all her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all!

She is now reunited with her husband Pat & beloved companion Sookie.

Charitable donations in her name can be made to Canadian Cancer Society. We would like to thank the North York General Hospital Palliative care home team who supported us through the home hospice process with unlimited equipment, nurses, PSW’s and home doctor visits.

A memorial in her honour will be held on Sunday, January 22nd from 1 to 4 pm at 189 Lake Driveway West (buzzer #168), Ajax, ON. Hosted by Kathy & Anthony, Dorothy's sisters Moira & Christine from Vancouver.
