Eric Thompson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Winston Thompson, age 76, at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, Ontario on September 6, 2021.

Eric is survived by his spouse; Patricia Thompson (nee Bill), five children; Merridith Evans (Rich), Troy Thompson (Catherine), Adam Thompson, Andrew Thompson (Sarah), and Cara Thompson (Justin). He will be missed by grandchildren; Dannielle, Jayson, Caden, Caleb, Abigail, Nathanial, Tyler, Alanna, Zachary, Sydney, and Morgan.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, one of 10 children, Eric is also survived by siblings; Jimmy, Hazel, Gary, and Sharon. He is predeceased by brothers; Ronny and Mark, and sisters; Annie, Sadie, and Marion.

Eric was passionate about following the instructions of his Saviour, Jesus Christ, to share the good news of the gospel. His evangelistic efforts are what drove him for most of his life. He was known to be a compassionate friend to the less fortunate and will be missed for his quirky sense of humor and storytelling abilities. A private gathering will be held at a later date for immediate family.
