June (Judi) Cepin (June 27, 1928 - May 24, 2021)
Judi passed away peacefully in Kensington Hospice on May 24th.
Being recently admitted after a short time in the hospital, Judi’s children and grandchildren were able to visit her and share their love and wonderful memories.
Judi’s daughter, Lauren, captured our feelings when she said that mother survived so many things and always came home. But she is free from pain now and that is a blessing. Her son, Stefan, remembers that throughout life she amazingly, overcame many health obstacles, continued living life to the fullest, and caring for others. She taught us to live for today.
Judi had a rich and varied working life punctuated by a change in career at 45 when she became a correctional officer, a profession which provided her with the opportunity to perform a task at which she excelled, caring for others.
Judi was predeceased by her husband of 50 plus years, Stefan Cepin, and is survived by her daughter and son, Lauren Starr and Stefan Karl Cepin (nee Lynn), and their children, Crystal (nee Andy), Ilia, Douglas (nee Shanelle) and Jeanette (nee Tiago) and by her 5 great-grandchildren.
Her grandchildren share: you taught us to love, nurture and embrace life! Your love for all us grandkids and your great-grandkids was everything.
Looking back we see your love for all of us and we know how lucky we all were to have you in our lives. Thank you, Nan for making our amazing family and keeping us together through baking, swimming with a special love of the sea, cooking Ukrainian dishes, singing beautiful Welsh songs, and so much more. We will carry on the traditions you created.
Your kindness, empathy, and full-hearted love have shown us the way. May you rest in peace! We will love you forever . . .
