Kate Clark

August 8, 1953 — February 7, 2021

Kate Linda Catherine Clark August 8th ,1953 -February 7 th ,2021

It is with deep sorrow that we share that Kate left us Sunday February 7 th , at the age of 67. Kate is survived by her beloved daughter Hanna Rose, her sisters Louise Clark and Alison Vukojevic, {Darko}, nephews Yuri, {Kristian} Vukojevic and Miro Vukojevic. We are grateful for our Clark cousins, Greig Clark {Carolyn}, Laura Meader {Hans} and dear friends John Armstrong and Mary Vander Dussen who were main supports throughout her life. Kate will be truly missed by her many friends and neighbour’s from their Toronto East neighbourhood. They became like family over the years to Kate and Hanna, building a mutual bond of love and support.

Kate was born August 8th, 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario to William David and Margaret Clark. She graduated high school at Richmond Hill High in 1972 and was a ribboned long-distance runner. She went on to University in Ottawa and majored in recreation. Kate had a very successful career in Toronto as a Program Coordinator with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. She was highly respected in this position and used her talents to help agencies provide valued services to the communities they served. She was a great community builder in that way and well respected with her non-profits. She retired a few years ago but continued to consult with agencies in the Toronto area privately.

In 2005, Kate brought Hanna Rose into her life. Kate devoted her energy to nurturing and mothering this wonderful girl in all areas of life from hiking and camping in the great outdoors, a love for animals, creativity in the kitchen and a love of photography. She was always looking out for others. Kate had a wonderful laugh and an infectious interest in life. Hanna shares her favorites, herons, the color blue and The Beatles. She was a giving person to all she knew, often providing love and support, or even a hand knit scarf.

Let’s remember this, hold onto all the good and great moments of her life and carry on her memory with; the next chance you get, do something nice for somebody, she would love that.
