Kenneth "Kenny" Cruise

d. July 28, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenny on July 28, 2020 at Cornwall Hospice.  He was a fantastic husband and father and is survived by his adoring wife of 47 years, Sandra (Herbert) Cruise, and his loving son Donovan Cruise (Shelley) and grandson Fionn Cruise.  He is also survived by his loving elder brother Ray Cruise and dear sister Fern Madden (Patrick) and his niece/buddy growing up Kim Kun (Brad and Lindsay). Remembered fondly by his brothers-in-law David Herbert and David Harper and his loving sisters-in-law Sharon Harper and Janice Herbert and his nieces and nephews, Chery Thayer (Doug), Jeff Tanguay (Silva), Christopher Harper and Brittany Harper, Samantha McBride (Rob), Kerry Cruise (Wendy), Tanya Cruise and Craig Cruise.  Predeceased by his loving parents Gordon Peter Cruise and Margaret (Peggy) Neil.
Kenny loved the outdoors and nature, and he spent many happy days camping with his wife.  He loved Algonquin Park, especially Basin Lake, interior camping and canoeing, calling the wolves, and camping at Mew Lake, and hiking Booth's Rock Trail.  He also loved camping at Murphy's Point near Perth Ontario.  He enjoyed working outside on the golf course (exceptional sand traps) with his comrades (Laurent) at Hautes Plaines in Gatineau Quebec.  He spent many years working in Ottawa, Ontario in wholesale plumbing where he had many friends and colleagues.
Kenny wished to be cremated and at a future time his ashes will be buried alongside his wife and parents and grandparents in his hometown of Lachute Quebec.
We would like to thank the wonderful help we received from Champlain Home and Community Care (Tamara Hall) and the nurses from St. Elizabeth, Manou and Tatiana and Dr. Diane Poilly and the lovely people at Carefor Hospice in Cornwall.   If you wish to make a donation in Kenny's memory we would recommend the Carefor Hospice in Cornwall or the Canadian Cancer Society.
