Leonard Joseph Quirion

October 26, 1954 — August 13, 2021

Oshawa, Ontario

Following a year long battle with stomach cancer, Len died peacefully at home in his sleep on Friday, August 13th, 2021.

Len left his home in Barachois, Gaspe, Quebec and moved to Toronto in his early 20's. He was a loving devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He worked for BBA  Fibreweb Nonwovens Canada Ltd. for 30 years, was employed with Omron for 10 years and then worked for Array until 2020. Len was a successful business owner for many years.

Len is survived by his devoted loving wife of 18 years, Joan Persons, his step-children Sarah (Brent), Benjamin, Joshua (Tanya) & grandchildren, Gemma & Julia. Len was loved and will be sadly missed by Joan's mother Doreen, & all her brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews.

Len is survived by his three sons, Leonard Jr. (Dawn), Derek (Lisa), Branden, & grandchildren Ben & Ashton, along with his brother Gaston (Jane) & sister Lauraine (Paul) & nieces & nephews.

Len is pre-deceased by his late father, Régis Quirion and his late mother Marie Blanche Quirion (Langlois), whom he loved with all his heart.

Len was a hard worker and not a man of many words. He was a kind, caring, compassionate, gentle spirit. We will all miss Len's one liners, his sense of humour, his peaceful calm and easygoing nature. Len's love of children and the joy they brought him was second to none. Len dearly loved his Montreal Canadiens, and Toronto Blue Jays, hardly ever missing a game. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time by the water. No one could BBQ the steaks like Len, and he always did them to perfection. There isn't anyone who knew Len, that didn't know his incredible sweet tooth. His nightly ritual included a cup of strong brewed tea with something sweet. One of his favourite desserts was home made brown sugar pie.

Len loved, and was deeply loved, by many friends and family both in Toronto and Barachois, Gaspe, Quebec, who will miss him beyond words.

Thank you to Doctor Omotayo Adeniyi for his compassionate care.

"Len truly found the joy in his life through this battle with cancer."

"Len, I will never find another one like you."
"I love you and miss you! Until we meet again, my lover and friend."
