Maya Nizortcheva

Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Maya, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on September 16, 2022.
She left us while sleeping peacefully.

"Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all…"

The many people who knew Maya will miss her ready smile, generosity, and willingness to help and comfort.
She was the happiest when her family and friends were around her, especially her granddaughter Megan.
A wonderful cook, she fed family and friends with a smile and love for all.
She lived her life to the fullest.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses, volunteer's and staff of May Court Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Maya was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
