Michael William Frost

April 4, 1966 — October 2, 2021

Always up for an adventure, Michael Frost of St. Pascal-Baylon, Ontario received two invitations that he could not refuse.  One was to join a golf tournament and the other was for a Nascar Race.  They came on very short notice on Saturday Oct. 2, 2021. He has gone to play and race with the greats. He was 55.

He was born on Monday, April 4, 1966 in Shawville, Quebec to his loving and wonderful parents, William Frost Junior and Eileen Bertrand of Fort Coulonge Quebec, to join his big sister Barbara Frost of Aylmer, Quebec to complete the family of four.

Michael was always doing something.  His hobbies consisted of things that went vroom or something that would make him go fast.  He played hockey, drove dirt bikes, rode and raced snowmobiles, was a member of cadets and did some downhill skiing and some go carting.

He went to Nascar and Drag Races in Canada and in the States.  He was an outstanding mechanic. He used his passion for it when he was a crew chief, for a season wining race car, at Capital City.

He did what others thought impossible, when he raced his snowmobile on water.

He was a member of the Ottawa Mustang Club and owned his pride and joy, a 1994 Red Mustang GT.  And, most recently his newest passion was golf.

He was also a very private person.

He had friends that he kept for his entire lifetime and, he had a heart so large it had the capacity to love beyond measure.

Michael was many things to many people.

For his wife Lise, he was her rock and her heart.

For his parents he was the son that made them so proud.

To his sister, he was the typical brother who teasingly gave her a hard time, but in the next instant was her greatest defender.

To his friends, he was the man who gave of his most precious commodity, his time. He and his friends, spent countless hours in his garage tinkering, building engines, working on cars, playing video games, playing golf with a simulator,  sharing some very VERY tall tales and a lot of laughs.

He will be missed by so many including, his loving and proud parents, William and Eileen, his caring and thoughtful sister Barbara, the love of his life, Lise Dempsey and his two four legged companions, his dogs Sally and Molly.

He will leave countless memories to childhood friend Eric Ward (Sylvie) as well as and his other closest friends, Robert Hunt (Diana), Neal Pearson (Leslie), Christopher Ward (Sylvie) and his special cousin Cory Frost, as well as many other friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was previously deceased by both is maternal grandparents, Laurent Bertrand and Elsie Godin as well as his paternal grandparents, William Frost Senior and Anna Duval. His aunt and Godmother Annette Frost (Robert), his aunt Doris Frost, and Uncle and Godfather David Bertrand.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the General hospital 5th floor east for their compassion and great care of Michael.

A small celebration of Michael’s life will be held in Fort Coulonge, Quebec,  at the Catholic Church Parish Hall, 529 Baume Street, on Saturday, Oct. 16th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Family and friends are encouraged to stop by to tell stories and special memories and share a few laughs, as Michael would have liked.
