Michele (Mike) Stalteri

June 28, 1952 — April 15, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Michele (Mike) Stalteri, 70, ended his battle with cancer on April 15th, 2023, at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada with his loving wife by his side.

Mike was born on June 28th, 1952, in Siderno, Italy. He was the second oldest of four siblings, and at the age of 14, he made the brave decision to leave his home country and start a new life in Canada. Mike was determined to succeed and pursued his passion for hair styling. He owned and operated his own salons, becoming a successful entrepreneur and beloved leader in the industry.

Mike's love for his family was immeasurable. He met the love of his life, Paolina, and they shared a bond that was unbreakable. Paolina moved countries to be with him, and they were happily married for over 40 years. Together they raised three beautiful daughters, gained 3 admirable sons-in-law, and enjoyed three cherished grandsons.

Mike's kindness and generosity extended beyond his immediate family. After his father passed away, Mike took on the responsibility of helping to care for his mother and siblings. At the young age of 18, he worked tirelessly to provide for them and ensure that they had everything they needed to succeed.

Mike's love for his family was unwavering, and he always put their needs before his own. He was a selfless and devoted father, son and brother, and his compassion and support were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Aside from his work, Mike had many passions in life. He loved fishing, cars, Italian food, mobster and classic western movies, gardening, and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he always made time to help those in need. Mike's generosity and kind spirit touched the lives of many.

Mike will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Paolina; his three daughters, Juliana (Darek), Romina, (Nicola), and Alexandria (Eli); his three grandsons, Graysen, Logan, and Colby; his two brothers, Cosimo and Frank; his sister, Silvana, and their families. He will also be remembered by his many cousins and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Thursday April 20th, 2023 to celebrate Mike's life. Service will take place at St. John's Dixie Cemetery (737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga, ON. L4Y 2B5) between the hours of 2-4pm and 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in honor of Mike's memory.

Michele will forever be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and love for his family. May he rest in peace.
