Monica Lynn Wilcox

On April 11, 2021, Monica Lynn Wilcox, Loving Mother, passed away of Cancer at the age of 56 at home. Monica wanted to spend as much time with her loved ones as possible. On her final day, she was surrounded by family who adored her more than anything else in the world.

Monica was born on January 12th, 1965 in the Halifax area, and was raised by Edmund Wilcox and Isabelle Isles. She is survived by her two children Amber & Jeremy (Arianne), her sister Cindy, brother Kyle (Heather Slaunwhite Wilcox), her Dog Lexi and her horse Scarlet. She was also surrounded by many of her good friends who were with her until the end.

Monica had a passion for all things equestrian and canine. She was able to enjoy life on her own farm which she so proudly named Almosta Farm and was one of the pioneers of Horse Country Campground where she gave many trail rides. She was known for her kind and compassionate spirit and her love for animals was indisputable.

Following Monica’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. There will be a celebration of Life at a later date once Covid restrictions are lifted.
