Raymond Francois Joseph Malette

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond, 74 years old on January 17, 2021. Raymond passed away peacefully at the Montfort Hospital after complications due to a long battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia.

He was loved dearly by his wife Sandra Mason (Hawes), daughter Melanie (John Sterling) and Caroline (Blaine Matthews) He was a cherished grandfather & "papa" to Robert, Evan, Fisher and Brady.
Raymond was predeceased by his father Orient Malette and Germaine ( Brodeur) as well as his dear brother Claude of Val- des- Monts, Quebec.
He is also survived by his sister Denise, brothers Gaston, Marcel (Louise Lariviere), Michel (Ginette Bronsard), Richard (Francine Lavigne), Andre (Lucie Dubois), Jean-Marie ( Lyne Ethier) and his sister Line ( Jean- Yves Patry) as well as many cousins, brothers & sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Raymond was a devoted family man and embraced every moment living life with his family and grandchildren. He will always be remembered for making friends everywhere he went and always made people around him laugh. He had a love for sports, cottage life and the outdoors. He spent many years playing and coaching hockey at the RA Centre. He designed and built a family cottage and taught his daughters a love for nature as well as to be grateful for each and every blessing. Raymond came from a large family and enjoyed many family gatherings filled with love, music and laughter.
Raymond retired in 1998 after a long career at Health Canada and was well respected by his colleagues.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to the doctors and nursing staff on 5C at the Montfort Hospital for their excellent care.
Due to current restrictions, he will be buried in the spring followed by a celebration of life.
He will remain forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Parkinson's Society of Canada.
