Roger Hervé Lefebvre

Peacefully with his family by his side, Roger passed away on November 17, 2021 after a short battle with a heart infection. Born in Ottawa on June 15, 1966, Roger was the son to the late Bernard (Bernie) Lefebvre (1937-2009) and Lorraine Leblond (1943-2020) and loving brother to Louise and Jean-Paul. He was also the beloved life partner to Christine (Tapp), much-loved father of Travis, Trevor, Tianna and Tara (Jerry Warren), and fun-loving “Papa” to grand-children Ashley, Brandon, Noah and Mason. He will be dearly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and his two huskies.

Roger spent most of his young life helping his father work on their many acres of farmland. It is there that he learned his deep-rooted appreciation for farm-fresh foods and machinery. As he got older, Roger became an avid fan of snowmobiling, old cars, and racetracks.

Like many of his family members, Roger spent over 35 years working for Canada Post where he befriended many co-workers who will remember him fondly. All who knew and loved Roger will remember him as a man whose generosity knew no bounds. One of his favorite things to do was to show his love and appreciation for his friends and family by sharing food with them. Whether it would be farm-raised chickens, fresh-picked corn or personally shaved smoke meat, if Roger pulled into your driveway his hands were rarely empty.

Roger will forever be remembered for his sense of humour, his big heart and for his infinite love of his children.

A memorial service will be held for the family at the Hope Cemetery on December 3rd, 2021 at 2 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this service will be by invitation only.
