WILLIAMS, Valerie Rita September 7, 1932 - November 11, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Valerie, announces her passing, peacefully at her residence at Shalom Village. Predeceased by her loving husband, Errol Williams; loving mother to her children, Carol, the late Peter, and Robin. Loving grandmother to Althea, Steven, Shannon, Stephanie, Chantel, Sebastian, Rayanne, Jayden and Hailey. Loving great-grandmother to Devante, Chloe, Essence and Nolan. This wonderful, energetic woman, born in Trinidad, was the matriarch of our family. In the 1960's she traveled to England to study nursing, finally ending up in Hamilton where she worked at Henderson Hospital. She devoted her life fully and happily to her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, making certain always, that they knew how much she loved them. Christmas was her favourite time of the year. She would decorate the house beautifully and prepare delicious meals. On Christmas morning, we would all gather around the tree where there would always be a mountain of gifts. Never did she miss anyone's birthday and she was our biggest cheerleader. She was equally magnanimous with her friends who knew her as Val. She truly was self-emptying love. Her sister, Merrilyn Best, had a special bond with her and was with her to the end. Mom, Grandma, Val, you will be in our hearts forever. RIP. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm, on Saturday November 28th, at Kingdom Worship Centre, 1411Upper Wellington St. Hamilton , ON.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures.
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul.
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness,
for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil.
For thou art with me.
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me,
in the presence of mine enemies.
Thou anointest my head with oil.
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the House of the Lord for
ever.
