Alan was very athletic and remained extremely active for his entire life- Alan was an avid skier and golfer, was a member at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club for many years, and even at the age of 86 he was out walking for up to 2 hours every day. Alan was a dedicated husband, father, uncle (Uncle Al the kiddie's pal), grandfather ("Poppy"), and friend; he had an infectious laugh and an edge to his personality that we all loved.
