Zofia Holz (nee Szerszenowicz)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Friday, September 3rd, 2021, of well loved mother and grandmother Zofia Holz in her 93rd year.  Born in Poland, she came to Canada via Russia and Africa, and settled in Montreal, Quebec, where she soon married. Zofia and her husband Maksymilian, (passed in 2013) hosted many at their country house in the Eastern Townships, near Mansonville, Quebec, as well at their winter home in Sebastian, Florida. She was an avid reader, loved old movies, and was always encouraging and kind. Zofia was an active volunteer in her faith community and at the veterans hospital, in Toronto.  She later continued to enjoy an active lifestyle by attending programs for seniors, up to the time of her passing. Zofia is survived by her four daughters, Helen, Christine, Gabrielle and Jane, sons-in-laws Mike and Martin; grandchildren Kevin, Jack, Taylor, Alexandra, Samantha and Oceana. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
