This page is intended to guide you through the funeral arrangement process at the time of need. We understand that it's an overwhelming time and are here to help you through the process.

• Hospital: If a death occurs at a hospital, simply call us and we'll take care of the rest. There are government documents that need to be filled out and we will be able to handle the arrangements once the doctor has signed the release documents.
  
  
• Nursing Home: When a death occurs at a nursing home, we must be called immediately. Nursing homes do not have holding facilities like hospitals which means that the deceased must be taken into our care promptly for their own dignity and the health of other residents.
  
  
• Home: When a death occurs in a private residence, your first call should be to the police. They will contact the coroner who will pronounce the death. After this has happened, we can make arrangements to take your loved one into our care and prepare for funeral services.
  

In certain situations, the coroner's office may need to be called. This is a routine procedure and should not cause concern. If the coroner is contacted, they will come to the place of death and discuss release. Once they have given their authorization, we can take your loved one into our care.

The deceased's next of kin should be notified as they will have to take part in the arrangement process, as should any family members that you feel should be included. It's a good idea to also communicate with palliative care services or anyone else that should be advised.
